August 2025 Newsletter

There’s just something magical about this time of year. The sound of the band, the roar of the crowd, and the thrill of kickoff. I couldn’t be happier that football season is officially here! Whether you're cheering from the stands or watching at Sidecar, there's nothing quite like the energy and tradition that college football brings.
Speaking of traditions - we’re thrilled to officially announce our plans for the Auburn vs. Vanderbilt football game on November 8! We are hosting an epic pregame tailgate and you won’t want to miss it. Join us for an afternoon of great eats and team spirit as we rally before kickoff. Whether you're a die-hard Tiger or just in it for the food and fun, this is the can't-miss GNAC event of the season. We’ve also scored a ticket block so you can cheer alongside fellow Auburn fans. Details about the tailgate and how to grab your tickets to the game are below and on our website. Don’t wait - they’ll go #AuburnFast!
Much like our Auburn Tigers gearing up for kickoff, our club has been hard at work preparing for a strong second half of the year. July was packed with great momentum - thank you to everyone who contributed to our recent initiatives and events. Your dedication is what keeps our team moving the ball down the field.

Meet the Team

Where are you originally from, and what brought you to the Nashville area?
I’m originally from Montgomery, Alabama. After spending 13 years in the Washington, DC area, I decided to move to Nashville to be closer to home and family. It’s been a great blend of Southern roots and vibrant city life. Definitely the right move for me!
What made you want to get more involved with club leadership?
I served on the board of the Metro Washington Auburn Club, and that was such a great experience. It really deepened my connection to the Auburn community. After moving to Nashville, I knew I wanted to stay involved. I believe in Auburn and love everything it stands for. I want current and future students to have the same positive, well-rounded experience I had, and being part of club leadership is a meaningful way to help make that happen.
Favorite place to eat in Nashville?
It’s hard to choose just one, but Eddie V’s is definitely a favorite when I’m in the mood for a great steak and exceptional service. For Asian cuisine, I love Two Ten Jack. It has a fun atmosphere and fantastic food. I tend to pick places that not only serve great meals but are also well-located for wherever the night might take me next!
What's your favorite AU memory?
My favorite Auburn memory is attending the 2011 National Championship with my college roommate. That night was absolutely magical. Being there in person to witness such a historic moment for Auburn, surrounded by the energy and pride of the Auburn family, is something I’ll never forget.
If you could have dinner with any Auburn alum, who would it be and why?
It’s hard to choose just one, but I’d have to go with a dinner table that includes both Charles Barkley and Octavia Spencer. Any conversation with Charles would be absolutely hilarious. He’s such a big personality and always has something memorable to say. And I have so much respect and admiration for Octavia Spencer. As a fellow Montgomery native and an Academy Award winner, she’s incredibly inspiring and would bring such depth and insight to the conversation.
